WHITEHOUSE — Winn Harriss tossed a complete-game shutout as the Whitehouse Wildcats stayed unbeaten in District 10-5A with a 2-0 victory over the Hallsville Bobcats.



The Wildcats moved to 15-5 on the season and 6-0 in district. The Bobcats fell to 12-7 and 3-2.

Whitehouse scored lone runs in the bottom of the first and sixth innings on the way to the win.

Harris pitched all seven innings, allowing three hits with five walks and seven strikeouts.

Earning hits for the Wildcats were JJ Idrogo, Ben Reed and Hunter Cook. Reed and Cook scored runs.

Kaden Akin struck out four, walked two and allowed one earned run in six innings for Hallsville. The Bobcats finished with three hits — singles from Trentan Johnson, Christian Martin and Ranson Smith.

Hallsville is scheduled to host Nacogdoches at 7 p.m. Friday and visit the Tyler Lions at 7 p.m. Saturday. Whitehouse is slated to travel to Texarkana on Friday to play Texas High in a 7 p.m. contest. The Wildcats are also slated to host Mount Pleasant at 2 p.m. Saturday.

NACOGDOCHES 12, TYLER 2

NACOGDOCHES — The Lions scored two runs in the first inning but Nacogdoches rallied for a 12-2 win on Tuesday in a District 10-5A baseball game.

The Lions fell to 3-15 overall and 0-7 in District 10-5A. The Dragons are 3-4 in district.

Juan Higuera had double and RBI for Tyler with Malachi Deleon adding a single. Deleon and Kaleb Hall scored runs.

The Dragons scored their 12 runs on 12 hits, and five walks. Tyren Mathews was walked three times and went 1-for-1 with three runs. Jayden Ard was 2-for-4 with one run and two RBIs. Connor Brady was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Josh Morones was 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs. Ben Rodriguez went 1-for-2 with one RBI. Cameron Brady finished 2-for-3 with one run and three RBIs. Hayden Allen recorded one hit and one RBI. Gavin Whitaker walked and scored one run. Nick Rodriguez was 1-for-3.

Allen got the win on the mound as he threw all five innings, allowing just two runs on two hits, two errors, four walks and struck out six batters.

Tyler returns to play on Saturday, hosting the Hallsville Bobcats. The Dragons will travel to Hallsville Friday and at home Saturday against Texas High at 2 p.m.

LINDALE 6, ATHENS 0

ATHENS — Jackson Parker and Hudson Legrow combined on a two-hitter as the Lindale Eagles defeated the Athens Hornets 6-0 on Tuesday in a District 14-4A baseball game.

The Eagles improved to 11-3-1 overall and 3-1 in district. The Hornets fell to 4-11 and 0-3.

Parker pitched five innings, allowing five hits with three walks and five strikeouts. Legrow hurled the final two innings. He did not allow a hit with no walks and three strikeouts.

Karter Fleming had two doubles and a single, along with an RBI and a run scored for Lindale.

Adding hits for the Eagles were Ty McCoy, Kaden Adams, Caleb Hart, Zach Shirley and Cody Hendrick.

Shirley knocked in two runs with one each from Adams, Parker and Hendrick.

McCoy scored two runs with one apiece by Fleming, Adams, Aiden Warnell and Hendrick.

Elijah Carnes and Satchel Williams had hits for Athens.

The teams will play again on Friday, but this time in Lindale at 7 p.m. The Eagles also play on Saturday, hosting Wills Point in an 11 a.m. start.

The Hornets also play on Saturday, hosting Troup in a 1 p.m. game.

SPRING HILL 7, PINE TREE 0

LONGVIEW — Grant Burton was sharp on the mound in a complete game performance, striking out 11 and walking four as the Spring Hill Panthers blanked crosstown rival Pine Tree, 7-0, in District 16-4A action.

Travis Allen singled twice and drove in two runs for Spring Hill, and Eli Emery added a triple and two RBI. Burton helped his own cause with a single and an RBI, and Corbin Broyles drove in a run.

Braydon Marsh doubled, and Bosston JOhnson, Manuel Williams, Chris Nickoles and Trey Nafrady all singled in the loss for Pine Tree. M.J. Cates went 5.1 innings on the hill, striking out one and walking three.

KILGORE 8, CUMBERLAND 1

KILGORE — Four Bulldogs saw action on the mound, limiting Cumberland Academy to a run on five hits, and Kilgore rolled to an 8-1 District 16-4A win.

Cason Edney went four innings on the hill, striking out five and issuing no walks. Jackson Tucker Phillips, Rafello Adamez and Jaxon Warner all pitched an inning.

Tanner Beets, Kolton Hale and Edney all had two hits, with Beets doubling and driving in a run and Edney, Kaeson Clayton, Jaxon Dickey, Brayden Williams and Joseph Hendrickson all driving in runs. Williams had a triple for the Bulldogs.

TATUM 10, WEST RUSK 1

TATUM — Cooper Whiteus tripled and singled, Jaxen Prince, Tristin Berry and Grant Adcock all added two hits and the Tatum Eagles notched a 10-1 win over West Rusk in District 16-3A action.

Prince, Berry, Adcock, Cayden Tatum and Colt Bullard all drove in runs for the Eagles, who got doubles from Adcock and Kody Hines in the win. Berry struck out four and walked one in four innings. Tatum fanned four in one inning, and Logan Cansler and Bullard both worked one inning on the hill.

Kullin Tavarez, Chris Sanchez and Troy Hunley all pitched for West Rusk. Gunner Harp and Cole Jackson had two hits apiece, and Caiden Landon drove in the West Rusk run.

NEW DIANA 7, MPCH 1

MOUNT PLEASANT — Remi Rountree worked 6.1 innings on the hill for the Eagles, striking out 13, walking just one and giving up one earned run as New Diana picked up a 7-1 District 13-3A win.

Mason Sherman singled twice and drove in three runs, Ayden Hamilton added a triple and Justice Hankins singled and drove in three runs for New Diana. Levi Green contributed two RBI.

BECKVILLE 3, ELYSIAN FIELDS 0

BECKVILLE — Aiden Brantley dominated from the mound, striking out 18 with two walks in seven innings as the Beckville Bearcats blanked Elysian Fields 3-0 in District 19-2A action.

Brantley also added two hits and scored twice for Beckville. Aiden Harris singled twice. Jackson Lambright had a single and an RBI, and Braxton Bullock and Reese Davis drove in runs.

John Beavers, Nunu Kennedy and Brody Parker all pitched two innings for Elysian fields. Beavers struck out five with no walks. Kennedy struck out one and walked one and Parker fanned three with one walk. Zane Childs and Parker had singles for the Yellowjackets.

UNION GROVE 7, CARLISLE 2

UNION GROVE — Kody Nutt struck out five and walked tow in three innings, Jaxson Ledbetter fanned a couple and walked a couple in one frame and the Union Grove Lions notched a 7-2 win over Carlisle in District 19-2A action.

Kolby Nutt tripled and drove in a run for Union Grove, and Kody Nutt, Ledbetter and Michael Gipson all added RBI.
