The TJC baseball team won a three-game series against the Paris Junior College Dragons, 2-1, last week.

The Apaches captured an 11-9 victory in Paris on March 19 and split a doubleheader on Saturday at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Mike Carter in Tyler (TJC 5-4 in Game 1, PJC 5-4 in Game 2). In a non-conference game on Monday, McLennan won over Tyler 12-6.



TJC hosts Northeast Texas at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Mike Carter Field.

Also, the TJC Apache Ladies will host Kilgore College in a softball doubleheader at 1 & 3 p.m. Wednesday on their on-campus diamond.

In Wednesday’s 11-9 win by Tyler, Micah Roberts hit a three-run homer and a double with four RBIs. Landry Stamps added a double and single with three RBIs.

Sawyer Dunagan hit a triple with Chase Fuentes getting a double. Both Dunagan and Fuentes added singles.

Other hits were by Zack Zavala, Dalton Wilson, Grayson Lincecum and Troy Johnson. Adding RBIs were Zavala (1), Wilson (1), Lincecum (1) and Fuentes (1).

Bankston Lembcke led Paris with a 5 for 5 day with two RBIs. He had a triple and double. Dylan Schlotterback had three RBIs with Austin Marlin hitting a home run with doubles from Gavyn Schlotterback and Cam Pruitt.

Luke Devasher (5.2 innings, 5 hits, 2 runs, 3 walks, 2 strikeouts) got the win for the Apaches with Chris Langley (.2 innings, 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, 1 strikeouts) recording the save.

In the first game on Saturday, TJC rallied from a 3-1 deficit and hung on for the 5-4 victory.

Levi Risenhoover led the Apaches with three hits. Lathan Van Ausdall contributed a triple with singles from Roberts, Dunagan and Fuentes.

Driving in runs were Van Ausdall (2), Roberts (2) and Finn Kaiyala (1).

Dylan Schlotterback had a homer and two RBIs for Paris with a double and two RBIs from Luke Noack.

Kade Budd got the win on the mound for the Apaches, going 4.1 innings while allowing two hits and one run with no walks or no strikeouts.

Langley got the save (1 innings, 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, 0 strikeouts).

In Saturday’s second game, Paris scored in the top of the ninth when Lembcke came home on Aidan Huante’s groundout.

Lembcke and Grant Moore had doubles for the Dragons with two hits apiece from Lembcke, Marlin and Dylan Schlotterback.

Gavyn Schlotterback, the fourth Paris pitcher, got the win by hurling the final two innings while not allowing a hit.

For the Apaches, Stamps had two doubles with one each from Wilson, Lincecum and James Raecek.

Raecek added a single with other base hits from Van Ausdall, Nico Ruedas and Fuentes.

RBIs were from Stamps, Wilson and Lincecum.

Tyler Junior College is 19-14 on the season and 6-9 in Region XIV Conference. The Dragons are 22-13 and 7-8.
