With spring sports being canceled, the Tyler Morning Telegraph wants to profile East Texas seniors in those sports in a feature called “From the Sidelines”. Favorite high school sports memory: When Lauren was running to first and tripped over the bag and ripped her pants.

Who are your role models? My mom and dad

Which coaches have had the most influence on you? Why? Coach Mo, because she taught me that I need to control my anger when I get frustrated at myself.

Who is your favorite teacher? Coach Self

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? With my family

Something about yourself that most people don’t know: That I actually have a really good heart, I just choose to not show it.

What will you miss most about high school sports? The free food when we travel. And getting to laugh with all my friends.
