Who are your role models? My father. He and my family have been close throughout the years and very supportive of each other. My mother has always been my advocate and an encourager. Although none of us in life are perfect, my father would always instill the thought that anything is possible and to make the most of what has been gifted to you. To try to do the right thing and phrases like: “…it is never the wrong time to do the right thing” and the historical paraphrase “…the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men (people) to do nothing.”

Which coaches have had the most influence on you? Why? From high school: Coach Boxley and Coach Shirey (Tyler Lee Varsity) and Coach Holtom (Tyler Lee 9th Grade), both professional and supportive of those who work hard and do things right while helping the team be successful. From Little League and Club Teams: Coach Shaffer (RCWLL & Jaxx) and Coach Thomas (Thomas Hitting Academy), both brought the best out of me and truly enjoyed coaching the teams and making a positive/enjoyable environment to succeed. Also, the team at D-BAT Tyler is always very supportive during lessons and just on their own while I’m there going through reps.

Who is your favorite teacher? I have been fortunate to have many great teachers and administrators in Tyler ISD that have helped make me who I am today. Most recently, Josh Loeffler has been involved with not only my classes, but UIL activities and college recommendations. He is great with the students and motivates us to be successful.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Traveling the world.

Something about yourself that most people don’t know: I love to surf.

What will you miss most about high school sports? Getting to be around my lifelong friends each day. I have been blessed to have a close-knit group of friends, some since birth. It is one of the things that makes Tyler special.
