Favorite high school sports memory: When we played against Longview and the keeper happened to be my best friend. We are both so competitive that we went for a ball in the air and neither of us wanted to back down so I accidentally knocked her out. We still remain friends.
Plans after high school: To attend college.
What school are you considering and what major?: TJC and biology.
Favorite song: One Big Country Song by LOCASH
Favorite food: Blue Bell ice cream
Favorite TV show: Last Man Standing
Favorite movie: Top Gun
Who are your role models?: I look up to my whole family. They are all so caring, supportive and amazing people. My Aunt Tricia is a huge role model in my life though, she always finds light in the dark times and lifts everyone else up when they are down. She’s such a great mom and finds a way to balance so many things in her life.
Which coaches have had the most influence on you? Why? Coach (Chris) Woodard was my high school coach and taught me the competitive side of the game, that it’s not all about winning, but it sure is a lot more fun to win. Coach (Corey) Rose is my club coach and has coached me the longest. He has taught me many life lessons and discipline not only in soccer but things I can use outside of sports as well. “If you cut the corners in laps what else are you cutting in life.” He also taught me how to prepare for the next level and work for my goals but most importantly he taught me how to get wide and “NOT LOSE THE BALL”. Lastly is my dad (Doug Wiebe) he has had such a major impact from coaching me in Rec to club to screaming at me from the sideline now. He has coached me and seen me in the times where I’m frustrated to my best games. He taught me how to fight and work and when you get knocked down to jump right back up and fight ten times harder. His famous saying was “the only thing you can fully control is how hard you work.”
Who is your favorite teacher? My mom. She has homeschooled me from a young age and taught me many life lessons along with school material too.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Hopefully having a doctorate degree, practicing medicine and helping others.
Something about myself that most people don’t know: I always need my sisters to go to the bathroom with me because I hate going to the bathroom alone.
What will you miss most about high school sports? The family aspect. Everyone is so close and a team bond is something so strong only people that play sports would know. You win together, lose together, cry together and smile together.
