With spring sports being canceled, the Tyler Morning Telegraph wants to profile East Texas seniors in those sports in a feature called “From the Sidelines”. Sports you play: Football and baseball

Favorite high school sports memory: Getting to play football with my brother Montrell in our senior season before he got injured.

Plans after high school: Go to Tyler Junior College for two years then to a university to major in wildlife biology.

Favorite song: Memphis Rain by Parker McCollum

Favorite food: Chicken fried steak

Favorite TV show: Yellowstone

Favorite movie: Transformers

Who are your role models? My grandpa (Charles Bubba Castleberry)

Which coaches have had the most influence on you? Why? Coach Bowker, because he has helped me in sports but also outside of sports and he pushes me to be the best person/athlete I can be. He is a great man and a role model to me.

Who is your favorite teacher? Mrs. Brannan

Where do you see yourself in 10 years? Raising a family and working hard.

Something about yourself that most people don’t know: I actually enjoy going to school.

What will you miss most about high school sports? Being on the field with my teammates playing the game I love. I will also miss my coaches who taught me about life and shaped me into the young man I’ve become.
