Nelson Clyde’s Is It Just Me: Of Holy Days and Hair Cream

Two weeks back, we discussed the little efficiencies in our lives that bring us joy. Betsy submitted the winning response:
I keep a scrub brush in my shower/bath tub combination. While I shower, I push the brush with my foot to scrub the bottom of the tub. Just before I turn off the water, I run the brush over the rest of the tub.

As to last week’s question about the Brylcreem slogan, the original intent was to locate the phrase, “A little dab’ll do ya.”
However it is clear the entire slogan consists of even more than my generation took in. The complete slogan was,
Brylcreem – A Little Dab’ll Do Ya!
Brylcreem – You’ll look so debonair.
Brylcreem – The gals’ll all pursue ya;
They’ll love to run their fingers through your hair!”

Deryl Henson provided the first correct response to the original intent and will receive the tube of Brylcreem if he can get us an address for the Starship Enterprise from whence he represented his email was sent.
In the event he is too many light years away for a timely response, the prize will go to Jean O’Toole for correctly providing the entire slogan in a form closest to those we researched.
Thanks to all who responded.
Today is Palm Sunday and thus begins the final week of the countdown to Easter. What has been a little confusing to me, with Easter being so late this year, is when to transition wardrobe choices. It seems Easter always denotes the shift in style to spring wardrobes, the same as Labor Day in the fall. However, Labor Day does not vary in scheduling nearly as much as Easter. Complex times and issues call for complex review.
Today is also a bit of a holy day for golfers as it should be the final round of the Masters Tournament, weather permitting.
It is a day for a man cave with men in their underwear and the thermostat on 67 eating slices of Bruno’s supreme pizza with anchovies and jalapeños and traditional accompaniments. The only thing that could be superior, and only slightly so, would be to attend the tournament in person.
May the best man win.
We already know the outcome of next week’s holy day and the best man did win.
