I-20 crash leaves 2 dead, 2 injured

A three-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 in Smith County has left two people dead and two injured.

The Department of Public Safety said the wreck occurred shortly after 7 p.m. Sunday in the eastbound lanes 7 miles east of Winona. 

According the accident report, a truck driven by Ross Tyler Campbell, 21, of Olla, Louisiana, struck the back of a car driven by Dale John Bellard Jr., 44, of Nacogdoches which forced it to strike the back of a car driven by Donald Edward Tiller, 55, of Fort Worth.

Two passengers in Bellard’s car, Quondaila Christine Bellard, 40, and Elyssa Arlene, 18, both of Nacogdoches, were killed. Bellard and a third passenger, Dominic James-Armon Sellers, 21, of Nacogdoches, were treated for injuries at UT Health East Texas in Tyler. 

Campbell and Tiller did not suffer injuries that required hospitalization, the report said.



DPS troopers are continuing to investigate the crash.
