Tyler police arrest local man in child exploitation investigation

A Tyler man was arrested in a child porn investigation, police said Friday afternoon.

Ryan Mosley, 32, was arrested by the Tyler Police Department on Friday bon a charge of possession or promotion of child pornography, a first-degree felony.

The arrest followed an investigation based on information provided by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, the police department said.

Mosley was transported to the Smith County Jail, where he is being held on a $750,000 bond. His mugshot was not avaialble at publish time, but this story will be updated when it is posted to the county’s website.



The Tyler Police Department thanked the U.S. Marshal’s Office, Smith County District Attorney’s Office and the Smith County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in this case.
