Brook Hill’s Ella Hardee has earned Tyler Morning Telegraph Volleyball Player of the Week honors for matches played Oct. 10-15.

Hardee, a senior, had 29 kills, 32 digs, five aces and a block as Brook Hill picked up a win over All Saints and dropped a five-set decision to Waco Vanguard College Prep.

In other outstanding performances in the area last week (nominated by coaches):

Brook Hill junior Gracie Dawson had 23 kills, 32 digs and seven aces.

Troup junior middle blocker Bailey Blanton had 20 kills, 17 receptions, eight digs, 25 points, three aces and two blocks in wins over Elysian Fields. Junior middle blocker Chloie Haugeberg had 14 kills, seven aces and 21 points for Jefferson for Troup (24-12, 7-2), and senior libero Karsyn Williamson had 14 digs, 31 receptions and one ace.



Beckville’s Sophie Elliott had 62 assists, 21 digs, five kills and three aces in wins over Big Sandy and Overton. Avery Morris had 29 kills, 17 digs, eight aces and one block. Amber Harris had 18 kills, two blocks, 19 digs, 10 aces and two assists.

Bullard senior outside hitter Olivia Anderson had 31 kills and 30 digs in wins over Palestine and Rusk. Senior libero Callie Bailey had 34 digs.

Brownsboro’s Rilee Rinehart had two aces, 33 assists, six blocks and 12 digs in a loss to Lindale. Also for Brownsboro (31-8, 6-3), Khyra Garrett had 10 kills, six blocks and 14 digs, and Khayla Garrett had 12 kills and 14 digs.

Whitehouse senior Megan Cooley had 18 kills and had a .298 hitting percentage in a win over Marshall and a loss to Hallsville. Senior Madyson Nunez had 14 kills, two aces, three blocks and a .294 hitting percentage. Freshman London Wiseman had nine kills, seven blocks and a .231 hitting percentage.

Grace Community’s Avery Nutt had 33 kills, nine aces, five blocks and 11 digs in wins over Grapevine Faith and Bishop Dunne and a loss to Flower Mound Coram Deo. Maggie Luce had 59 assists and 24 digs.

Multiple East Texas teams earned a spot in the Texas Girls Coaches Association state rankings.

In Class 5A, Hallsville (32-5) is No. 7. In Class 4A, Canton (29-7) is No. 9, Spring Hill (26-7) No. 12 and Bullard (30-8) No. 14. In Class 3A, White Oak (34-7) is No. 8, Tatum (35-6) No. 9, Mount Vernon (23-2) No. 12, Central Heights (32-8) No. 16, Edgewood (28-8) No. 17, Mineola (26-8) No. 21 and Atlanta (19-6) No. 22. In Class 2A, Beckville (28-10) is No. 6 and San Augustine (13-2) No. 12. In Class 1A, Neches (25-8) is No. 6.
