#bEASTTexas Fabulous 15: Carthage, Timpson stay at No. 1

Carthage and Timpson retained the top spots in the #bEASTTexas Fabulous 15 after seven weeks of the high school football regular season.

Carthage moved to 7-0 with a 50-0 win over Canton and received nine of the first-place votes in Class 6A/5A/4A.

Chapel Hill and Longview received three first-place votes each.

Athens and Brownsboro moved into the rankings, and Bullard and Lindale moved out.

Timpson (6-0) had a bye. The Bears stayed at No. 1 in Class 3A/2A/TAPPS and received 13 first-place votes. Malakoff (7-0) received the other two first-place votes.

The entire top 12 stayed the same. No. 13 New Diana fell out of the poll. West Rusk and Cooper both moved up a spot to Nos. 13 and 14, respectively, and Harmony entered the poll at No. 15.

Notable games this week are McKinney North at No. 10 Lufkin, No. 2 Chapel Hill at Lindale, No. 8 Center at No. 9 Van, Pottsboro at No. 3 Winnsboro and No. 4 Troup at Arp.

Voters in the poll were Phil Hicks and Brandon Ogden of the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Jack Stallard and Thomas Bingham of the Longview News-Journal, Ryan Silapan of the Panola Watchman, Nathan Hague of the Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel, Josh Havard of the Lufkin Daily News, Mitch Lucas of the Kilgore News Herald, Jay Neal of the Jacksonville Progress, Bryce Brauneisen and Reagan Roy of CBS 19, freelance writers Joe Hale and John Krueger, Harlen the Sports Guy of the Friday Night Scoreboard Show and Bret Swinney of the Northeast Texas Sports Network/NETSN.
