- BULLARD EARLY CHILDHOOD Pre-K students get ready to practice writing letters in teacher Kimberly Smith's class on April 18. This class is one of two classes at Bullard ISD that was receiving state funding for High Quality Pre-K programs under a grant championed by Gov. Greg Abbott. The funding was enough to hire an extra paraprofessional and to add additional teacher training. Last year the state ended the grant program, but is now asking the district to dedicate more money to those programs.
BULLARD — Bullard ISD employees will receive pay raises this school year after the board of trustees approved the 2025-2026 compensation plan during its regular meeting Monday night.
The plan includes salary increases for teachers and a 5% raise for all non-teaching staff, along with an increased contribution to employee health insurance.
Under the plan, first-year teachers will receive a $2,000 raise, while those with one to two years of experience will see a $4,000 increase — both funded through local dollars. Teachers with three to four years of experience will also receive $4,000 raises, while those with five or more years in the classroom will get $8,000; both are funded through state allocations.
