Grace Community's Abby Metzger accepts the M. Roberts Digital award for girls cross country from TJC Coach Trenia Tillis Hoard (left) and Tyler Morning Telegraph publisher and M. Roberts Media Senior Vice President Justin Wilcox on Tuesday during Best Preps Tyler 2023 presented by Peters Autosports at Green Acres Baptist Crosswalk Center.

Abby Metzger, Grace Community; GPA: 4.12

What her coach said:

Abby is an extremely hard-working and dedicated student- athlete. She was an example of being both committed to cross Country and academics. She is involved in various school activities outside of athletics and cross country. She led the girls cross country team to a second-place finish this year at the TAPPS 5A State Cross Country Championships. Individually, Abby won her second state championship and place on the All-State Team.
