Van’s Mikyla Bachert signs to play basketball at Cameron

Van senior point guard Mikyla Bachert signed to play basketball at Cameron University on Wednesday morning

“I chose Cameron because they were the right fit,” Bachert said. “I have prayed that I would find a college that values more than my skills as a basketball player. I fell in love with my coaches, team and community, and I am so excited to join the Aggie Family.”

Cameron competes in the Lone Star Conference with UT Tyler.

As a junior at Big Sandy, she averaged 14 points, four assists, three rebounds and two steals per game.

During the summer, she played for the Platinum National Team, coached by Katie Robertson. At Van, she plays for her mom, Kay Bachert. Her sister, Keziah Bachert, is an assistant coach at Van.
