#bEASTTexas Fabulous 15: Longview, Timpson close regular season in No. 1 spots

Longview and Timpson are the No. 1 teams in the final #bEASTTexas Fabulous 15 for the 2022 high school football season.

Longview received the top spot in Class 6A/5A/4A with 209 points and 13 first-place votes. Carthage received the other first-place votes and is No. 2 with 197 points.

The rest of the Top 15 are Gilmer, Chapel Hill, Pleasant Grove, Texas High, Kilgore, Whitehouse, Lindale, Center, Caddo Mills, Lufkin, Hallsville, Marshall and Van.

Four of the Top 15 last week lost on the final week of the regular season, including two Top 5 teams — Kilgore and Whitehouse.

Timpson is still the unanimous No. 1 team in Class 3A/2A/TAPPS with 14 first-place votes and 210 points. The rest of the Top 15 are Malakoff, Winnsboro, Beckville, Daingerfield, Carlisle, West Rusk, Mount Vernon, Lovelady, Corrigan-Camden, Joaquin, Cayuga, Grace Community, Jefferson and Edgewood.

Two Top 5 teams lost last week as Carlisle and Mount Vernon were both defeated. Corrigan-Camden and Edgewood also dropped their regular season finales.

Voters in the poll were Phil Hicks and Brandon Ogden of the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Jack Stallard and Thomas Bingham of the Longview News-Journal, Ryan Silapan of the Panola Watchman, Nathan Hague of the Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel, Josh Havard of the Lufkin Daily News, Mitch Lucas of the Kilgore News Herald, Juwan Lee of the Palestine Herald-Press, Jay Neal of the Jacksonville Progress, Ashley Moore and Reagan Roy of CBS 19, freelance writer Joe Hale and Harlen the Sports Guy of the Friday Night Scoreboard Show.
