#bEASTTexas Fabulous 15: Whitehouse moves into top five

Whitehouse moved into the top five of the #bEASTTexas Fabulous 15 after its 32-27 road win over previous No. 4 Texas High.

The win vaulted the Wildcats (8-1) — previously No. 8 — into a tie with Chapel Hill (7-2) in the No. 5 spot with 149 points in the Class 6A/5A/4A poll.

Longview, Carthage and Gilmer remained in the top three spots. Kilgore moved up to No. 4.

In the Class 3A/2A/TAPPS portion, the top six stayed intact with Timpson, Malakoff, Carlisle, Mount Vernon and Beckville holding those spots.

Corrigan-Camden (9-0) moved up a spot to No. 7.

Jefferson (7-2) moved into the poll at No. 15 after its 30-28 overtime win over Tatum, and Tatum dropped out.

Notable games this week are No. 5 Chapel Hill at No. 4 Kilgore, Marshall at No. 5 Whitehouse, Tatum at Atlanta and No. 14 Edgewood at No. 9 West Rusk.

Voters in the poll were Phil Hicks and Brandon Ogden of the Tyler Morning Telegraph, Jack Stallard and Thomas Bingham of the Longview News-Journal, Ryan Silapan of the Panola Watchman, Nathan Hague of the Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel, Josh Havard of the Lufkin Daily News, Mitch Lucas of the Kilgore News Herald, Juwan Lee of the Palestine Herald-Press, Jay Neal of the Jacksonville Progress, Ashley Moore and Reagan Roy of CBS 19, freelance writer Joe Hale and Harlen the Sports Guy of the Friday Night Scoreboard Show.
