Tyler Legacy teams place sixth in Waxahachie

Tyler Legacy’s cross country teams both recorded sixth-place finishes Saturday at the Waxahachie Woodhouse Invitational.
The Legacy boys finished sixth out of 15 teams. Brady Filla was the top legacy finisher, taking 32nd place with a personal record time of 17:17.7. Freshman Mason Maldonado had a personal record of 17:23.3 and was 35th. Other Legacy boys to record personal record times were Michael Peveto (17:28.1), Johnathan Rodriguez (17:33.0) and Miller East (17:47.7).

The Legacy girls finished sixth out of 14 teams. The Lady Raiders had three top 25 finishers — Trude Lamb 13th (19:43.3), Mila Teuber 22nd (personal record 20:22.0) and Celeste Dominguez 23rd (personal record (20:22.9). Joselyn Bryner (21:24.5) and Lily Janis (23:91.9) also had personal bests.
Tyler Legacy’s next meet will be Sept. 2 at the Fossil Ridge Run of the Panther.
