TYLER — Olivia Anne Kovach, 69, born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, on November 15, 1950 to Shirley Ann Holloway Christian and Clifford Carlton Christian, passed away Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, her in-laws, Dr. Paul and Ilona Kovach, her grandson Sgt James G. Johnston and granddaughters, Trinidad Marie Artmire, Natalie Grace Adams, and Gracien Hope Smith.
She is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Paul Aurel Kovach, daughters Meghan Elizabeth Billiot, Ilona Gabrielle Smith and Paula Christian Kovach; Brother Clifford Carlton Christian II. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ryan Salva and Karalynn Salva, Granddaughter in law, Krista Johnston and great granddaughter Jamie Grace Johnston; Brother and sister in law, George and Marilyn Kovach. Nephews, Clifford Christian III, Lucas Christian, Ian Kovach and niece, Sarah Christian Westgate.
Anne, as she was known, was a dedicated wife, mother, granny, daughter, sister, friend and nurse. She graduated TJC nursing school class of 1988, as president of her class. She went on to work as a labor and delivery nurse and Director of nurses in several nursing homes.
Anne had a green thumb and loved to garden. She was a voracious reader and notorious chocoholic. She was a long standing member of Good Shepherd Reformed Episcopal Church of Tyler, Texas.
Interment is graveside at 1pm for immediate family was held on Wednesday, April 15th, 2020 at Tyler Memorial Cemetery. Memorial service to be scheduled at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the ALS Association in her honor.
