The Cascades of Tyler serves as a wedding destination.

Let’s face it, the to do list for soon-to-be married couples can be a mile long and a bit daunting.

To start with is the challenge of finding the perfect place to say “I do.” Then there is the pesky problem of coming up with food selections for the reception. And yes, you need to have someone ready to deal with one of those unexpected last-second problems that pop up.

Niki Upton knows all the decisions can be overwhelming. As director of events at The Cascades, she makes sure couples begin their life together with the wedding of their dreams — minus all the stress.

“We understand that you want your wedding to be unique and memorable,” Upton says on The Cascades’ website. “We also understand that a lot of hard work goes into planning such an event!”

As a wedding venue, The Cascades, with its luxury clubhouse, dining areas and stunning views of Lake Bellwood just of west of Tyler, lets couples check off a lot of must do items.

— Locate site for the wedding. Check.

— Locate venue for the reception. Check.

— Find a place with multiple options on the property. Check.

— Have the food prepared on site from a menu created by an award-winning chef. Check.

— Have a coordinator on site to make sure things run smoothly. Check.

“Our facilities and staff can accommodate any request: from a formal wedding and reception in the main clubhouse, to a relaxed cocktail reception at our one-of-a-kind marina and boat house —  a large and luxurious affair to an intimate one,” Upton says.

It’s all about customizing the wedding to meet each couple’s needs.

“Because we understand the importance of a successful event, we have a list of unique and affordable menus and services to complement your day, or our executive chef can custom tailor a menu to fit your personal style,” Upton says.
