Faith Around East Texas: First Church of Christ to present speaker

First Church of Christ Scientist, 106 E. Second St. in Tyler, is offering a free public talk at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Phillip Hockley, practitioner of Christian Science healing, will speak on the core principles of Christian Science.

After sustaining a debilitating injury which was diagnosed as rendering him permanently disabled, Hockley began investigating ways to improve his situation. Along the course of his search, he attended a lecture on Christian Science.
