Palestine Public Library, 2000 S. Loop 256, will host author Phillip Anthony Sainz-Hall for a presentation and signing of his book “From the Bullet to the Bible” from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
Sainz-Hall grew up knowing he wanted to be a gangster and “nothing or no one” was going to get in his way, according to a news release from the library.

After running away and hiding, his life caught up with him and ended up in prison. His imprisonment changed his life, and he got another chance. He accepted God and His love set him free, according to the news release.
He has been sharing his testimony to the world ever since about how he turned his life around, according to the release.
He will be selling and signing books for $20 after the presentation.

35-year church pastor Wade to be honored
Bishop Larry D. Wade Sr. and Joyce Smith-Wade will be honored at 2 p.m. Sunday at Bethel Temple Community Church, 200 S. Glenwood Blvd., in Tyler, for their 35 years at the church.
