Calvary Baptist Church revival

Calvary Baptist Church in Brownsboro has announced it will have a fall revival with evangelists Paul and Vanessa Cherry on Nov. 3 through Nov. 6.

Sunday morning service on Nov. 3 will be 11 a.m. and night services will be 7 p.m. throughout the revival.

The Cherrys, of Wolfe City, are a highly sought-after husband and wife team who bring understanding of God’s love for all of us, according to information about the event. A love offering will be received to help support their ministries.

Free Conference for Caregivers

East Texas Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging and St. Louis Baptist Church will have a free conference, “Who Cares? We do!” for caregivers, in recognition of National Family Caregivers Month, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 7, at St. Louis Baptist Church, 4000 Frankston Highway. Lunch will be provided.

The conference is designed to offer caregivers — families and individuals in East Texas who care for loved ones with chronic, disabling health conditions — with information and resources needed to carry out their role as caregiver. The conference will include presentations from local experts on opioid misuse prevention, Medicare enrollment and services in the aging network. Featured presentations will include “What Makes the Impossible Possible,” from care recipient Wendell Jeffery, and “Lessons Learned from Ms. Jessie & Me,” from motivational speaker Lawandra Smith.

Pre-registration is needed by Nov. 6 to participate. For reservations, call 903-595-5212 or email Juanita.Padron@etcog.org.
