NEW CHAPEL HILL — Jared Jones led the Bulldogs with 17 points as Chapel Hill downed the Tyler Cumberland Academy Knights 67-49 on Tuesday in a District 164A boys basketball game.
Teon Erwin added 15 points for Chapel Hill Keyjun Thomas (12) and KJ Ford (10) also in double figures.
Others scoring for the Bulldogs were D’Patre Thomas (5), Amorrian Ford (5) and Jarell Hunter (3).
DJ Wofford had seven steals and five assists for Chapel Hill.
Jones, Hunter, Thomas and Ford all had 3-pointers.
Gregory “Jackson” Kennedy led the Knights with 18 points, while Sincere Norman (8) and Caleb Watts (7) were next in line.

Chapel Hill is scheduled to play at Bullard next Tuesday with Cumberland hosting Bullard on Friday.
Cumberland won the JV game (56-41) with Chapel Hill winning the freshmen contest (42-39).
KILGORE 51, GILMER 36
KILGORE — Seth Thomas and Dee Wheat combined for 35 points and 11 rebounds, and the Kilgore Bulldogs rallied for a 51-36 win over the Gilmer Buckeyes on Tuesday in District 16-4A action.
Thomas led the way for Kilgore (178, 6-1) with 21 points and six rebounds. Wheat finished with 14 points and five rebounds for the Bulldogs, who trailed 17-7 after one quarter and 34-22 at the half.
The Bulldogs will visit Spring Hill on Friday.
WHITE OAK 54, WEST RUSK 38
WHITE OAK — Collin Bower paced the Roughnecks with 21 points and five rebounds, and White Oak used a big first quarter to take control en route to a 5438 win over West Rusk in District 16-3A basketball.
Nate Hearron added 14 points for White Oak, which led 20-5 after one quarter. Matt Bort had seven points and Carson Bower five points and six rebounds.
The Roughnecks visit Arp on Friday.
SABINE 67, ARP 58
LIBERTY CITY — Travion Oliver and Eylan Goodwyn combined for 37 points and 13 rebounds, leading the Sabine Cardinals to a 67-58 win over Arp in District 16-3A.
Oliver had 20 points and nine rebounds, Goodwyn 17 points, four rebounds and three assists, David Robinson nine points, six rebounds, five assists and three steals, Savoy Goodwyn five points and four rebounds, A.J. Gresham four points, four rebounds, two assists and four steals and Scottie Taylor three points and three assists.
Sabine (17-9, 7-1) visits Troup on Friday.
TATUM 82, NEW DIANA 31
TATUM — Jayden Boyd led a balanced Tatum scoring attack with 20 points, and the Eagles rolled to an 82-31 win over New Diana in District 15-3A.
Haden Crowley had 13 points, Dalon Fuller 12, OB Jones nine, Kendric Malone eight, Bryan Hawkins five, Decartiyay Allison, Ean Wiley and Trey Fite four apiece and Aidan Flournoy three. Boyd also had five rebounds, five steals and two blocks, Jones five rebounds, six assists and six steals, Malone four assists, Fuller six steals and Allison four steals.
HUGHES SPRINGS 57, DAINGERFIELD 48
HUGHES SPRINGS — Chandler King paced Hughes Springs with 21 points, Devin Flournoy added 14 and Hughes Springs notched a 57-48 win over Daingerfield in District 15-3a.
Trayvon Kennedy finished with six points, Bryce Johnston five, Keyshawn Simmons and Isaiah Bolden three apiece, Chase Brown two and Cameron Johns one.
The Mustangs (13-12, 5-3) will visit New Diana on Friday.
HAWKINS 87, CARLISLE 63
HAWKINS — Camron Taylor led four Hawks in double figures as Hawkins downed Carlisle 87-63 on Tuesday in a District 16-2A contest.
Taylor led the Hawks (19-4, 5-2) with 28 points, followed by Paeton Smith (17), Tristian Garrett (16) and Akim Richmond (13). Also scoring for Hawkins were Zach Conde (5), Collin Barber (4) nad Chris Jackson (4).
Richmond had three 3-pointers with Smith adding two and Garrett, Conde and Taylor one apiece.
Gerald Turner paced Carlisle (4-3) with 38 points. Others scoring for the Indians were Jonathan Fraser (8), Jay Price (8), Eric Mendoza (3) and Alex Garza (2). Mednoza had a 3.
Hawkins is scheduled to visit Overton on Tuesday, while Carlisle meets Overton in Price on Friday.
EDGEWOOD 93, LONE OAK 22
EDGEWOOD — Six Bulldogs scored in double figures as Edgewood defeated Lone Oak 93-22 on Tuesday in a District 12-3A contest.
Tanner Patterson led the Bulldogs (222, 6-1) with 18 points, followed by Trey McPherson (15), Brayden Allen (14), Hudson Tyner (11), Sean Joyce (10) and Cooper Hill (10).
Also scoring for Edgewood were Jordan Davison (6), Brodie Prather (6) and Nick Miller (3).
Edgewood shot out to a 34-7 first-quarter lead.
Edgewood is scheduled to play at Quitman on Friday. The Buffaloes (1-19, 0-7) will play host to Rains on Friday.
BULLARD BROOK HILL 44, GARLAND BRIGHTER HORIZONS 38
GARLAND — Jared Johnson hit for 12 points and Joseph Johnson added 10 as the Brook Hill Guard defeated Brighter Horizons Academy 44-38 on Tuesday in a non-district basketball game.
The Stars took a 30-28 lead after the third quarter, outscoring the Guard 18-2. However, Brook Hill bounced back and outscored BHA 16-8 in the final period.
Also scoring for the Guard were TyJuan Cannon (8), Grayson Murry (7), Jake Edwards (5) and Conner Livesay (2).
Cannon hit two 3-pointers with Joseph Johnson connecting on one.
Brook Hill (14-12) is scheduled to play at Grace Community at 8 p.m. Friday.
VAN 53, BROWNSBORO 33
VAN — Austin Mitchell scored 17 points and Hunter Hutchins added 14 as the Van Vandals stayed unbeaten in District 14-4A basketball play on Tuesday wtih a 53-33 win over Brownsboro.
Van moves to 15-10 overall and 4-0 in league, while the Bears fall to 10-12 and 2-2.
Tylor Johnson led Brownsboro with 11 points, followed by Jarrod Hastings (6), Cole Williams (6), Chance King (5), Saul Williams (3) and Colby Wood (2). Hastings hit two 3-pointers with King adding one.
Others scoring for the Vandals were Jayden Jacobs (6), Parker Krumvieda (5), Liam Nielson (4), PJ Brooks (3), Colby Hardy (2) and JJ Kellum (1).
Mitchell had five 3-pointers, while Hutchins had four. Brooks and Krumvieda had one each.
Van won both the JV (45-38) and freshmen (49-41) games.
Brownsboro is scheduled to host Canton at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Van is slated to visit Mabank.
TROUP 45, GLADEWATER 34
GLADEWATER — Kedrick Frazier connected for 17 points, while Grayson Driggs swished for 13 as the Troup Tigers defeated the Gladewater Bears 45-34 on Tuesday in a District 16-3A basketball game.
Others scoring for Troup (16-4, 7-1) were Kris Johnson (8), Weslee Ross (5) and Quincy Kincade (2).
Frazier had two 3-pointers with Driggs, Ross and Johnson hitting one each.
Eli Kates led the Bears (3-5) with 13 points, Also scoring for GW were Eligia Carter (8), TC Minter (7), Robert Hodges (4) and K’Havia Reese (2).
Troup plays host to Sabine at 7:30 p.m. Friday. Winona is slated to visit Gladewater on Friday.
NEW SUMMERFIELD 48, ALTO 44
ALTO — Luis Martinez hit two free throws with 3.6 seconds on the clock to extend the Hornets’ lead to four as New Summerfield held off an Alto rally for a 48-44 District 21-2A win on Tuesday.
Fred Thacker led Alto (5-14, 0-4) with 21 points, followed by Bubba Mumphrey (6), Jay Pope (6), Keithen Jenkins (4), Will Dixon (3), Skyler Atkins (2) and Kurrinsai Jackson (2).
Collin Wilkerson led New Summerfield with 21 points.
Alto concludes the first round of district on Friday in Cushing with three games — JV boys, varsity girls and varsity boys beginning at 5 p.m.
GIRLS
NO. 1 MARTIN’S MILL 85, NORTH HOPKINS 21
MARTIN’S MILL — Abbie Orrick hit for 26 points and Taylor Sparks added 18 as the No. 1 and unbeaten Martin’s Mill Lady Mustangs scored an 85-21 win over Sulphur Springs North Hopkins on Tuesday in a District 14-2A girls basketball game.
It was the Lady Mustangs’ 67-straight win and also the 136th consecutive district victory.
Others scoring for Martin’s Mill (28-0, 6-0) were Mollie Daniel (12), Kenley Nixon (8), Rachel Alvis (6), Jada Celsur (5), Kenzie Cross (5) and Natalie Thomas (5).
The Lady Mustangs started fast, earning a 29-1 first-quarter lead.
North Hopkins (13-14, 3-3) was led by Tanna Fielden with nine points. Miracle Ramon and Madison Arrington had four points apiece for the Lady Panthers.
Martin’s Mill visits Quinlan Boles at 6:30 p.m. Friday. North Hopkins will celebrate homecoming at 6 p.m. Friday against Cumby.
HAWKINS 80, CARLISLE 29
HAWKINS — Lynli Dacus led three Lady Hawks into double figures with 16 points as Hawkins rolled to an 80-29 win over Carlisle on Tuesday in a District 162A girls basketball game.
Harlie Conover had 14 points and Alyssa Eddington 11 for Hawkins. Jaycee Cheshire added nine points and 11 rebounds, Eddington finished with four assists and Emily Moore had a teamleading seven assists to go along with two points. Victoria Miller had two points, Carolyn Searer and Logan Jaco six apiece, Mya Rose two points, Christian Harris six, Makena Warren four and Tenley Conde two.
LIBERTY-EYLAU 96, PITTSBURG 65
PITTSBURG — Liberty-Eylau jumped out to a 15-point lead after one quarter and rolled to a 96-65 win over Pittsburg on Tuesday in a District 15-4A girls basketball game.
Tyler Green dropped in 32 points in the loss for Pittsburg (19-12, 1-4). Natalie Styles, Marlisha Swain and Ki’anna Blackwell all scores six for the Lady Pirates, who will visit Pleasant Grove next Tuesday.
HARMONY 64, WINONA 16
WINONA — The Harmony Lady Eagles, led by Raylee Willie’s 11 points and 10 from Macey Russell, improved to 10-0 in district play with a 64-16 win over Winona on Tuesday in a District 16-3A game.
Russell had five steals and nine rebounds, and Willie came away with two steals for Harmony, which led 18-4 after one quarter and 41-10 at halftime. Alexa Makowsy chipped in with nine points and five rebounds, Elizabeth Spencer eight points, three rebounds and two steals, Hope Howard seven points and five steals, Kaylee Clemens five points, two steals and two assists, Katelyn Welborn five points, McKinzee Settles five points and three rebounds and Dacey Dawson five assists, three steals and three rebounds.
GLADEWATER 55, TROUP 52
GLADEWATER — Victoria Perry had 19 points and added 19 rebounds for Gladewater, and the Lady Bears earned a 55-52 overtime victory against Troup on Tuesday in District 16-3A action.
Ceara Latson added 13 points for the Lady Bears. Samaya Frierson finished with eight points, Halleigh Oliver six points and nine rebounds, JaRaya Wilson five points and five rebounds and JaGraysha Miller four points and six rebounds.
TATUM 48, NEW DIANA 35
TATUM — Essence Allen and Ashton Brown scored 12 points apiece, Brown recorded a double-double and the Tatum Lady Eagles moved to 9-1 in district play (20-6 overall) with a 48-35 win over New Diana in District 15-3A action.
Brown had 15 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals, and Allen finished with five rebounds, four assists and four steals. Jayla Hooper had nine points, seven rebounds and two steals, Jasmine Rogers seven points, three rebounds and three assists and Adriana Bradley four points, two rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Tatum will host Jefferson on Friday.
DAINGERFIELD 70, HUGHES SPRINGS 29
HUGHES SPRINGS — Daingerfield raced out to a 38-17 halftime lead en route to a 70-29 victory over Hughes Springs in District 15-3A.
The win clinched a playoff spot for Daingerfield for the first time since the 2014-15 season.
Mikayla Roberson had a triple-double for Daingerfield with 17 points, 10 assists and 11 steals, adding seven rebounds and three blocks as the Lady Tigers improved to 19-8 overall and 9-1 in the district. Jaclyn Garrett finished with 13 points, three assists and six steals, Joi Akinsuroju five assists and seven steals, Montrevia Durham six points, six rebounds and two assists, Kiara Robinson nine points, five rebounds and two steals, TreShawnti Howard eight points and five rebounds, Malayah Everett five points, three rebounds and two steals, Genesis Allen two rebounds, TaQuasia Latchison six points and three rebounds, Makayla Robinson two points and Desiree Coffey three points.
For Hughes Springs in the loss, Zoe Lanier and Brianna Morrow had eight points apiece, Adriana Kennedy seven, Amani Craver four and Sakiya Simmons two.
ATLANTA 64, PAUL PEWITT 37
ATLANTA — Keyona Easter and Sheveionia Smith combined for 43 points, and Atlanta used a big second quarter to pull away for a 64-37 win over Omaha Paul Pewitt in District 14-3A.
Easter had 28 points, eight steals, four rebounds and six assists, and Smith added 15 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals, Cyrah Jones six points and Grcie Smith nine points, two assists and two steals.
Mya Heath had 20 points in the loss for Paul Pewitt, which was outscored 20-7 in the second stanza.
