After spending 25 years in the oil and gas industry, Roger Williams and his wife, Linda, decided it was time to make a career change and opened DreamMaker Bath and Kitchen.

DreamMaker is a full-service interior home improvement franchise based out of Waco. DreamMaker is not a retail center.

“We focus on interior remodeling. Our specialty is bath and kitchens, but we do it all,” Williams said. “We don’t do it all ourselves, we work with what we call trade partners – some call themselves contractors. We call them trade partners because we go through an extensive interview process with them before they come along with us.”

DreamMaker prides itself on the quality of the remodeling work that they do for their customers.

“The quality of work and service we provide is second-to-none,” Williams said. “We need our partners to have the same mentality, and our goal is to enhance lives and improve homes by doing that.”

Another goal of DreamMaker is to remodel with as little as disruption to their customer’s daily life as possible.

“Once we decide what you need, we order everything. Once it’s all in, we check it out and make sure everything is good then we will contact the home owner and tell them, ‘It’s all here and let’s schedule a time to start the work,’” Williams said. “So instead of doing it in eight weeks, we are doing it in one to three so they can continue with their lives.”

The Williams received the keys to their design studio on Oct. 16, and have started doing business, but it won’t be until mid December until their studio is fully complete for customers to see.

“We love remodeling” Williams said. “I have been doing custom furniture and all kinds of custom woodworking since I was a teenager. This is what we wanted to do and everything kind of lined up right. So here we are in Tyler.

“It’s just like going to your house to remodel,” he said. “We have to put up walls, we have to get cabinets in and we have to do all the lighting, painting and that kind of stuff.”

The design studio at DreamMaker will have a full kitchen and bathroom with different styles, colors and samples for customers to really grasp what they want done.

“We can look at kinds of wood, doors, faucets and all of those kinds of things.” Willams said. “We are going to try and show as much of that as we can in our studio so we have a visual to help people with their dreams.

“They will have it in their head what they want, so our job is to take that and put it together for something that works and, hopefully, we will be able to show them that in our design studio.”

DreamMaker is at 16700 Farm-to-Market Road 2493 in Tyler. They can be contacted at 903-218-0442.
