“Enhanced” risk for severe weather in East Texas

(KYTX) – Most of East Texas is within the “Enhanced” risk area for Severe Weather, mainly from mid-afternoon through the evening.
The main threat will revolve around Large Hail. Strong Winds are the secondary concern, followed by the possibility for a few Tornadoes. That being said, the Tornado threat is much lower on the scale, but can never be ruled out.

Flooding is not really that big of a concern either, with totals expected to run in the 1/4-1/2″ range, along and North of I-20. We’ll see widespread 1/2′ to 1 1/4″ totals across the Nacogdoches/Lufkin area.
