“We might see some showers in here as early as sunrise,” KYTX CBS19 Chief Meteorologist John Adams said. “We’ll see a line of thunderstorms develop in late afternoon or evening. The main threat will be damaging winds or hail fall.”
The NWS reported 9.57 inches of rainfall in Tyler for the month of October, which is 4.72 inches more than what they consider normal for this time of year. More than half, 5.71 inches, dropped during a single 24-hour period from Oct. 23 to 24.
Adams predicts Tyler will see about an inch of rain Thursday. While the rain will continue through Saturday, he said the risk of severe weather would not.
