SPRING HILL — Clay Price ran for three touchdowns and threw for another to lead the Lindale Eagles to an opening night 56-7 win over the Spring Hill Panthers on Friday.

The Eagles, expected to win District 14-3A after finishing last season with an 8-4 record, also got a three-toudown night from Trey Acy.

Price, who led the district last year in passing with 2,212 yards, relied more on his legs Friday, scoring on first-quarter runs of 71 and 43 yards sandwiched around a 10-yard score by Demarcus Lynch to put the Eagles up 21-0.

Spring Hill finished the quarter with a touchdown pass of its own from Landry Lee to Rrevor Caldarera.

Lindale open the scoring in the second quarter with a 44-yard scoring pass from Price to Aaron Smith.

Acy scored on a 53-yard run and then Price scored again on a 19-yard carry to put the Eagles up 42-7 at half.

After a scoreless third quarter, Acy scored on runs of 6 and 34 yards in the fourth.

Lindale should get a strong test next week when it entertains Carthage at home in the ETFinalScore.com Game of the Week.
