F. Mac Hill

F. Mac Hill, 71, of Lindale, passed away on Dec. 28, 2017, after a brief, but hard fought battle with cancer. Mac was born to parents Judy Cantaser & the late Harmon Hill in Dallas on Oct. 31, 1946. He grew up the eldest of 5 children and graduated high school in Artesia, N.M. In 1966, he married his high school sweetheart, Sherry Emfinger, before being deployed overseas to serve our country in the Vietnam War. Mac was a proud member and past master of the Lindale Masonic Lodge #848. He enjoyed metal detecting, showing his beloved ’58 Chevy Impala and spending time with his grandchildren who were the light of his life.

He is survived by his parents, Judy & Eldon Reams of Midland; his loving wife, Sherry Hill; daughter and son-in-law, Shanon & Breck Pittman of Lindale; grandchildren, Layney & Phoenix Pittman of Lindale, Mitch Hill of Brooklyn, N.Y. & Levi, Sherry & Travis Rude of Whitehouse. He was preceded in death by his father, Harmon Hill, and son, Travis Hill.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Lindale Masonic Lodge.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Lindale Masonic Lodge #848. The family would also like to send a huge thank you to the Benson family for their wonderful friendship and support. You have all truly been a blessing.
