At the Academy of Country Music Awards ceremony on this date in 2017, Lindale native Miranda Lambert was named Female Vocalist of the Year. Her “The Weight of these Wings” was honored as the Album of the Year.
Lambert was also a nominee for Entertainer of the Year and her song “Vice,” on which she was a co-writer, was up for Song of the Year and Single of the Year.
