Neal McCoy, of Longview, received Academy of Country Music’s Home Depot Humanitarian Award on this date in 2004.
The country music star’s humanitarian work includes founding the Angel Network, a Longview charity that provides financial assistance to families of children with long-term medical needs. Each year he hosts a concert that raises money for the charity.
