TJC baseball, softball hosting games

The TJC baseball and softball teams are hosting Region XIV games on Wednesday.

The Apache Ladies (28-12 overall, 11-5 Region XIV) will meet Paris (39-7, 13-3) in a doubleheader on their on-campus diamond. The first game is scheduled for 1 p.m. and game two is slated for 3 p.m.

The Apaches (23-17 overall, 9-12 Region XIV) will tangle with Angelina (17-20, 6-12) in a 2 p.m. start at Christus Trinty Mother Frances Mike Carter Field.

SOFTBALL

After Wednesday’s DH, the Apache Ladies will host San Jacinto in another twinbill at 1 and 3 p.m. Thursday.

On Saturday, the TJC softball team travels to Bossier City, Louisiana to meet Bossier Parish at 3 and 5 p.m.

The Apaches are coming off a doubleheader sweep of Navarro 9-4 and 10-1 on April 1 at TJC.

In the first game, Trinity Hawkins hit a two-run homer and Sydney Farmer drove in three runs to pace the offense.

In the circle, Kearston Goode hurled all seven innings, allowing six hits and one earned run with two strikeouts and four walks.

Alinna Cruz had three hits with two apiece from Hawkins and Farmer. Ky-Li Alonzo added a single.

Joining Farmer in driving in runs were Hawkins (2), Alonzo (2) and Chloe Payne (1).
