Bullard junior setter Taylor Clark was setting up her teammates to a 7-0 week for the Lady Panthers.
Clark’s performance has earned her Tyler Morning Telegraph Volleyball Player of the Week honors for matches played Aug. 15-20.

Clark had 187 assists, 47 digs and nine aces.
In other outstanding performances in the area last week (nominated by coaches):
Bullard senior libero Callie Bailey had 115 digs and nine aces.
Brownsboro’s twin duo of juniors Khayla and Khyra Garrett combined for 25 kills in the Aug. 16 win over Eustace — 14 for Khyra and 11 for Khayla — and they were named team MVPs at the Eustace Tournament, where Brownsboro finished as runner-up to Edgewood.
Brownsboro’s Rilee Rinehart had 32 assists in the match against Eustace.
Troup junior outside hitter/middle blocker Bailey Blanton had 60 kills, 37 digs, five assists, nine blocks and a 2.8 passer rating.

Troup senior setter Tara Wells had nine kills, 10 aces, 91 assists and 19 digs.
Mineola’s Jocelyn Whitehead had 23 kills and 13 digs.
Mineola’s Olivia Hughes had 21 kills, seven digs and 27 assists.
Beckville’s Amber Harris had 86 kills, 88 digs, 10 blocks and eight aces in nine matches.
Beckville’s Sophie Elliott had 176 assists, 59 digs and nine kills.

Multiple East Texas teams earned a spot in the Texas Girls Coaches Association state rankings.
In Class 5A, Lufkin (15-6) is No. 24. In Class 4A, Brownsboro (10-2) is No. 10, Rusk (11-6) No. 18) and Canton (8-2) No. 19. In Class 3A, Mount Vernon (7-0) is No. 7, Prairiland (13-3) No. 10, Tatum (15-2) No. 15, White Oak (16-4) No. 16 and Central Heights (10-2) No. 22. In Class 2A, Jewett Leon (19-2) is No. 1, Beckville (9-6) No. 7, Carlisle (5-1) No. 15 and Cross Roads (12-4) No. 21. In Class 1A, Neches (7-5) is No. 12 and Leverett’s Chapel (3-3) No. 25.
