May 27: Longview’s David Sullivan wins praise in 2005 for his acting debut

“Primer,” a science fiction movie about engineers who face the consequences of creating a time travel machine, hit theaters this week in 2005, with David Sullivan, of Longview, in his acting debut
The low-budget, independent film won the Grand Prize at the Sundance Film Festival in 2004.

Sullivan, who was born in Tyler and raised in Longview and had almost no acting experience, was nominated for a Film Independent Spirit Award.
He has since had several TV and movie roles.
