The game show “Beat Shazam” debuted on this date in 2017, featuring Terrell native Jamie Foxx, the versatile singer and actor, as host. 

 Players in teams of two, won money by being the first to identify hit songs over the years. 

 In the second season, Foxx’s daughter, Corinne, joined him as a co-host.
