May 14: Panola County’s Linda Davis is a hit with country music fans

Panola County native Linda Davis had country music hits in the mid-1990s. On this date in 1994, her album “Shoot the Moon” peaked at No. 28 on the Top Country Albums chart.

Davis is known for “Does He Love You?” a Grammy-winning duet with Reba McEntire.

She also has recorded hit Christian music as member of Hillary Scott and the Scott Family. Hillary Scott, her daughter, is one member of the popular country group Lady Antebellum.
