A funeral service for Troy Bolton, age 83, of Jacksonville, is scheduled at 2 o’clock in the afternoon Tuesday, November 20 2018 at Autry Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville. Rev. Ernest Higginbotham will officiate. Mr. Bolton will be laid to rest at Still Waters Memorial Gardens in Jacksonville.

He passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Tyler.

Troy was born May 6, 1935 in Cherokee County, Texas to the late Luther and Wilma (Clark) Bolton.

Mr. Bolton served in the U.S. Army. He was the owner of Bolton Lumber Company.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jimmy and David Bolton.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 56 years, Pansy Bolton of Jacksonville; daughter, Elaine Cooper of Jacksonville; son and daughter-in-law, Donnal and Toni Bolton also of Jacksonville. He is also survived by his sister, Emily Bolton; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Shirley Bolton, all of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Dustin Pruett (Vanessa), Sarah Cooper, Jacob Tucker and Michael Tucker and one great-granddaughter, Adaline Pruett.

Pallbearers will be Dustin Pruett, Jason Litchfield, Jacob Tucker, Michael Tucker, Kevin Bolton and Butch Rhodes.

Visitation will begin on Monday, November 19, 2018 and friends are cordially invited to visit with Troy’s family from 6 to 8 o’clock in the evening at Autry Funeral Home, Jacksonville.
