5-time champ leads at Willow Brook

Five-time tournament champion Aaron Hickman holds a five-stroke lead heading into Sunday’s final round of the Men’s Club Golf Championship at Willow Brook Country Club.

Hickman, the former TCU and Palestine High School golfer, has a 36-hole score of 145 after Saturday’s second round. He carded a 72 on Friday, followed by a 73 on Saturday.

Luke Loggins is second at 150 (76-74), followed by defending champion Clay Hodge (76-75—151).

Hickman’s previous titles were in 2006 and 2007 and three straight in 2012, 2013 and 2014.

Rob Allen leads the First Flight with a 73, followed by Brian Holcomb (76), Don Robert Johnson (81) and Rowdy Nutt (81).



In the second flight, Brad Robertson tops the field with an 84. Tied for second are Fred Haberle, Charles Heaton and Tone Lester, all at 89.

The championship flight is 54 holes, while the other flights are 36 holes.
