Dr. Duck aka Dennis Loosier
I have had the great pleasure of meeting many friends in the field over a lifetime of hunting, and those of you that no me know me well and understand writing is probably not my strength.

I have done a little writing for some air conditioning publications but that’s about it. So why start now?
Several years back my hunting partner, Billy Campbell @thefowlhunter suggested that as much as we travel and get around hunting ducks, an upgrade from a flip phone might not be a bad idea. A smart phone would enable me to stay in better contact with the office, better serve customers and maybe not lose as many phones.
While I’m not sure it fixed my ability to hold on to my phone, it has definitely helped me become more connected. After a few lessons on social media I began my Instagram account, @dr_duck. Instagram has been a tremendous tool, helping me grow a great network of wonderful people all with the same passion, hunting mallards.
As the Instagram and now Facebook followers grow, so does my network of incredibly competent hunters, sharing information and successful results through photos that I believe helps push us all to be better at our consistent pursuit of the green.
With this growth have come many questions about gear I use, tactics in decoying and calling mallards and my personal favorite, scouting. The good folks at texasalloutdoors.com have invited me to use this hunting site to share the answers to questions like these. Steve Knight is a great writer and has covered hunting in East Texas for more than 30 years and I am excited to be a part of the team here and looking forward to sharing as much information as I can through this blog. Please be sure to follow me here and on my social media accounts as I write about my experiences and try to return the great joy that has been gifted to me through our connections on social media.
Be sure to share your questions and thoughts here on the site, or by reaching out to me on Instagram @dr_duck, FaceBook DR DUCK or on Twitter @dennisloosier (DR_DUCK).
