Rain chances are expected to increase through the day as a cold front pushes into the area dropping temperatures into the mid 80s.
Travis Washington, a forecaster with the National Weather Service in Shreveport, said moisture will continue flowing into the area, but the exact amount of rain that could be expected is “tricky at this time.”

Washington said the approaching cold front and a low pressure trough in the Gulf of Mexico are competing against each other making the forecast a little difficult.
“We will see rain chances increase through Wednesday as the day progresses before it slows down in the evening. It should start up again Thursday morning,” he said.
Washington said there is no severe weather expected in the area and the low pressure trough in the Gulf is not part of a tropical system.
