Rain, storms ahead

East Texas weather will continue to be influenced by an upper-level trough of low pressure, a cold front across the area, high humidity and daytime heating. That adds up to an active weather pattern for the next couple of days. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will produce heavy rainfall in some areas. Temperatures will vary depending on when and where rain develops. Highs in areas not getting rain will reach the lower 90s. By the weekend, the daily thunderstorms are expected to become less active.
