Gardening: Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service continues lecture series with Oct. 8 talk on bulbs for southern climates

The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Smith County will continue its 2016 East Texas Garden Lecture Series on Oct. 8 at the Harvey Convention Center, 2000 W. Front St. in Tyler. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., and the program will begin at 8:30 a.m.
The program will consist of information on bulbs for southern climates and companion plants.
Brent Heath of Brent and Becky’s Bulbs in Gloucester, Virginia, will be the guest speaker. A bulb, shrub and tree sale will follow the lecture.
Admission to the program is $15 per person. Attendees will receive early admission to the bulb sale following the lecture.
Entry to the bulb sale is free and open to the public.
