FLINT — Stretch therapy business Z-Stretch is now open in Flint. The company, owned by Zac Leslie, opened its doors earlier this year.

Leslie, a chiropractor with more than 18 years of experience, said he started the business after realizing how many people did not incorporate basic flexibility into their daily lives.

“In my more than 18 years in practice, something that has always stood out to me is how few people have basic flexibility,” he said. “So many of the conditions and injuries people struggle with could be avoided or diminished with regular stretching.”

Z-Stretch offers a vital service that is overlooked in health care and not available almost anywhere else provided by assisted stretching, Leslie said.

Leslie emphasized the importance of stretching but said it is something commonly overlooked.

“Flexibility is one of the most important, yet often overlooked, components of physical fitness. Without flexibility, the muscles and joints grow stiff and movement becomes limited,” he said. “Flexibility training ensures that your body can move through its entire range of motion without pain or stiffness.”

Leslie said the approach Z-Stretch takes is designed to increase wellness on several levels.

“Our approach is designed to help you age well, perform better, increase your range of motion and decrease pain,” he said. “Our expertly trained staff uses techniques to optimize your flexibility and mobility. People of all ages and activity levels can benefit from stretch therapy.”

“It truly is a way to help people live healthier, happier lives,” Leslie added.

Z-Stretch serves the Flint, Bullard, Chandler, Frankston, Tyler, Whitehouse, Jacksonville, Noonday, Coffee City, and Athens areas.

Hours of operation are Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Fri. 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
