Tyler Legacy’s Audrey Deatherage commits to play tennis at the University of Texas.

Audrey Deatherage has had a successful tennis career at Tyler Legacy High School.

On Thursday morning, it was announced that she will continue her career at the University of Texas.

Deatherage helped lead Legacy to the regional semifinals in team tennis as a freshman. She then qualified for regionals in girls singles in the spring.

As a sophomore, Deatherage advanced to the UIL State Tennis Tournament in girls singles. That same year, Deatherage was selected as the winner of the M. Roberts Digital Award for Girls Tennis.

As a junior, Deatherage once again led Legacy to the regional semifinals in team tennis.

Deatherage and the Red Raiders are currently in their team tennis season with a record of 13-2 overall and 5-0 in district.
