TJC Apaches move to 3-0 in basketball

Four Apaches scored in double figures as Tyler Junior College defeated Lone Star College-CyFair 88-53 on Monday in a non-conference basketball game at Wagstaff Gymnasium.
TJC moves to 3-0 on the season. The Apaches’ next game is Nov. 13 against Centenary JV in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Shahada Wells, a 6-0 freshman from Amarillo, led the Apaches with 17 points. Right behind Wells was Jonathan Bryant, a sophomore from Jacksonville, Florida, with 16 points.
Also in double figures were Reyhan Cobb, a 6-9 freshman from Atlanta, Georgia, and Deandre Heckard, a 6-1 freshman from Romeoville, Illinois, with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Mo Taylor led CyFair with 31 points, including nine 3-pointers.
