ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — A Tarrant County grand jury has charged a male nurse with sexual assault following accusations he inappropriately touched a female patient last March.
Arlington police arrested 63-year-old Gerald Thomas Cagle on Oct. 31 after a detective concluded Cagle assaulted the woman during an exam. Cagle posted a $50,000 bail from the Arlington Jail on the day of his arrest.
A Tarrant County prosecutor and Cagle’s defense attorney both declined to comment.
Cagle had been with the Medical Center of Arlington as a contract worker for Staff Quest, an independent medical-staffing firm. An outreach services manager with the Medical Center of Arlington said in an email that Cagle no longer works at the hospital.
The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports Staff Quest couldn’t be reached for comment.
