Coneflower blooms wispy, soft, graceful

Ratibida pinnata or gray headed coneflower is blooming in our IDEA Garden and I invite you out to see it.
This is another of our beautiful native plants that warrants a place in our home gardens. Just look at the wispy blooms, so soft and graceful. Our clump is located in the butterfly area, which is right behind the fence on the north side of the garden. I think you will see it immediately since it is so lovely.
Gray headed coneflower is easy to grow. It only asks for a good sunny spot and isn’t particular as to soil. Locate this plant toward the back or in the middle of a bed where it can show itself without hiding others.
I love looking at these flowers. They remind me of prairie breezes and sunny days filled with the hum of bees and fluttering butterflies.
