The Tyler Police Department is searching for a suspect after two people were injured by a vehicle in Broadway Square Mall.

Alejandra Duarte-Valle, 35 and Jose Lopez-Perez, 27, both from Longview, were walking in the JC Penney parking lot Tuesday when they were struck by a car. Witnesses who didn’t see the incident saw a silver sedan speeding out of the lot, according to Tyler police.

Duarte-Valle and Lopez-Perez were both transported to UT Health Tyler by EMS. As of Friday, Duarte-Valle was released, but Lopez-Perez remains in critical condition, the police stated.
