April 24: BMX champion Morgan Wade, of Tyler, grabs ‘Big Air’

BMX champion Morgan Wade, of Tyler, appeared on the ESPN “30 for 30” special “The Birth of Big Air,” which aired on this date in 2010.

Wade won seven X Games medals including gold medals at the 2015 X Games Austin and 2013 X Games Los Angeles. 

 Big Air competitors use ramps to shoot high in the air on their bikes.
