John Tyler outscored Winnsboro by seven in the final quarter to defeat Winnsboro for the first time in the last three years, 63-59 on Friday at the Lions Den.

Amia Wickware scored 15 while Tameal Jones and Quaneshia Johnson added 13 apiece for the Lady Lions (10-5).

The Wildcats (10-4) trailed 20-7 after one quarter but led 34-29 by halftime. After Mabank controlled the third quarter and led by five heading into the final frame, Whitehouse outscored Mabank 19-4 to take control of the game.
