ROCKWALL — Derek Clemons and Aaron Clemons combined for seven RBIs and Ryan Cheatham tossed a three-hitter as Whitehouse scored a 13-3 win over Corsicana in a District 16-4A playoff seeding game at Rockwall-Heath High School.

The Wildcats will now enter the playoffs as the top seed from the league. Whitehouse (21-7) will play Red Oak in bi-district. The best-of-three series begins on Thursday in Red Oak (7:30 p.m.), with Game 2 at 7:30 p.m. Friday in Whitehouse. If a third game is needed, it will be played at 1 p.m. Saturday in Red Oak.

Corsicana (25-6-1) will play Waxahachie in the playoffs. The dates and playoff format have not been decided.

Cheatham pitched all five innings, striking out three. Michael Nuon belted a homer for the Wildcats, while Aaron Clemons was 3 for 3 with three RBIs and Derek Clemons was 2 for 2 with four RBIs.

Eric Munoz added two doubles, while Cheatham and both Clemons had two-baggers. Patrick Mahomes, Jared Raabe and Jake Parker all had hits. Others with RBIs were Munoz, Mahomes, Rex Swinney and Parker. Nuon scored four runs with Munoz, Aaron Clemons, Mahomes and Brennan McDaniel scoring two apiece. Raabe also scored a run.

The Wildcats and Tigers tied for the district title, both sporting 9-1 marks.
